Known as the gateway to the Sierra Tarahumara region.
It is famous for its apple production, although due to its location, it has become an important commercial hub.
This town has a significant Mennonite community, allowing visitors to learn about their traditions and enjoy their delicious Mennonite cheese or Chihuahua cheese.
Among its attractions are the San Antonio Cathedral, distinguished by its beautiful stained glass windows; the central square with a romantic gazebo; and Mennonite crops, mainly oats and apples. There is also the Mennonite Community Museum, located in a typical community house with antique furniture and tools. The museum features a video showcasing the history of the Mennonites in Mexico.
Just 26 minutes away is the Ex Hacienda Bustillos, where Francisco Pascual Orozco and Francisco I. Madero, important figures of the Revolution, met at the beginning of the 20th century.
