The fame of the Tamasopo waterfalls extends beyond borders. Close to the town center, there is a resort with good infrastructure for picnicking, swimming, rock climbing, short waterfall jumps, hiking amidst lush woodland, and exploring the remains of an ancient hacienda in Tamasopo. It also has a restaurant and a store.
Within the resort area, there is a set of three waterfalls with an average sliding distance of 20 meters each. They form several shallow pools that, depending on the time of year, exhibit a brilliant turquoise color.
The water temperature is very cool, especially during the hot season, inviting you to spend some time in the pools.
There are some sections near the waterfalls that are dangerous due to the whirlpools that form, but they are marked with floaters, so take precautions and always wear a life jacket.
There is a spectacular viewpoint from where you can admire this magnificent natural wonder.
In the vicinity, there are some establishments that offer drinks and local snacks.
