In this course all the splendid natural elements of the Riviera Maya have been combined in the 27 holes of the course: jungle, natural lakes, cenotes, and a wonderful variety of vegetation across 90 hectares. Each of the holes has been cut deep into a limestone quarry, and fairways run along natural contours, bordered by dense jungle, providing a golfing experience in harmony with the region's nature.

Riviera Maya Golf Club features an 18-hole championship course, par 72, along with a 9-hole Executive course, par 27.

In 2011, Top Ten Golf & Spa Magazine ranked it as the third-best golf course in Mexico.

It is designed to cater to all golf enthusiasts regardless of their skills, offering a wide variety of water obstacles in the form of lakes, and a diverse range of bunkers.

One of the most challenging holes is Hole 2, Par-3, which becomes a significant challenge when the winds are strong. Also, Hole 15, Par-3, is a long hole ranging from 190 to 245 yards and crosses a lake.
