Tetela del Volcán y Hueyapan
The forest areas of Tetela del Volcán and Hueyapan have amazing routes tfor hiking. It is located 55 minutes from Cuautla.
Parque Ecoturístico Chalcatzingo (Ecotourism Park)
The park offers an incredible natural environment and is ideal for hiking and enjoying history and nature. It is located in Chalcatzingo in the municipality of Jantetelco, at the foot of an archaeological zone on the border with the state of Puebla, 35 minutes from Cuautla.
Centro recreativo Piedra Rajada
It offers comfortable cabins, swimming pool, restaurant and hikes to the archaeological zone and tours for wildlife observation. It is located in Chalcatzingo in the municipality of Jantetelco, very close to the archaeological zone of Chalcatzingo, 40 minutes from Cuautla.

Jardines de México (Gardens of Mexico)
One of the most beautiful places to visit and enjoy nature is Jardines de México, which are the largest contemplative floral gardens in the world with an area of 51 hectares.
Here you can find 7 themed gardens with 193 million flowers a year and more than 22 thousand introduced trees. The various gardens are Italian, Japanese style, cactus garden, tropical garden, 4 spring garden, fan of flowers, labyrinth of the senses and garden with senses. It is located near Tequesquitengo, 32 minutes from Cuernavaca.

Parque Ecoturístico Xochicalco
It offers trails to explore and enjoy the peaceful natural environment. It is located 37 minutes from Cuernavaca.
Zempoala Lagoons National Park
The park offers beautiful trails that lead to seven lakes of blue and green tones, walking amid huge oaks, oyameles and pines. There are ecological trails and guided tours to learn more about the flora and fauna of the region. In addition, it has children's games and a visitor center. It is located 42 minutes from Cuernavaca and an hour and a half from Mexico City.
Jagüey El Caracol Recreational Park
It has a beautiful body of water and you can explore the surroundings hiking or in horseback riding. Another experience is to ride in a colorful trajineras and enjoy nature. It is located in San José El Caracol within the municipality of Yautepec, half an hour from Cuernavaca.
Cuentepec Extremo
This extreme adventure park offers some trails to explore the Cueva del Diablo (Devil's Cave), where you can do 4 rappels and the cave flows into the Tembembe river with a splendid waterfall. During the tour you will discover some cave paintings. Additionally, you can enjoy its zip lines, horseback riding and camping areas. It is located in Cuentepec in the municipality of Temixco, just three kilometers from the famous archaeological zone of Xochicalco, 45 minutes from Cuernavaca.
Centro Recreativo Tetlamatzin
It has cabins, restaurants, bicycle rental and horseback riding. You can walk through the various trails and enjoy nature, including the Tembembe River. In addition, other roads take you to Xochicalco, an extraordinary archaeological site where you can learn part of the history of the place. It is located in Tetlama in the municipality of Temixco, just 1 km from the archaeological zone of Xochicalco, 35 minutes from Cuernavaca.
El Texcal State Park
It is a biological corridor with abundant vegetation, which is why it is an excellent place for hiking and for wildlife observation. It is located in Tejalpa, within the municipality of Jiutepec, 23 minutes from downtown Cuernavaca.
Centro Ecoturístico El Hoyanco
It is located in Coatlán del Río in the middle of an area that has been the object of study by geologists, anthropologists and archaeologists. It is a 150 m (492 ft) deep natural fracture with a diameter of about 90 m (295 ft). It is said that this place is the result of a meteorite fall, but it seems more likely that this fracture was caused by the subsidence of the earth by an underground river. It is a very pleasant place for hiking, although you can also get there by bicycle or on horseback. It is located approximately one hour from Cuernavaca.
TEPOZTLÁN
Cerro del Tepozteco
It has several routes to explore. One of the most interesting is the one that takes you to the top of the Tepoztlán pyramid by the old road and not by the stone stairs, it is a beautiful route with panoramic views and archaeological remains. Another option is the Chichinautzin corridor that can be traveled during the day or at night. It is located 9 minutes from Tepoztlán.
Centro Ecoturístico Quetzalcóatl Temachtiani (Ecotourism Center)
It is located in Amatlán in the municipality of Tepoztlán in the middle of a Flora and Fauna Protection Area, Chichinautzin Biological Corridor and the Tepozteco National Park.
It has lodging facilities, a swimming pool, a camping area and horseback riding, but it is also ideal for hiking and photographic safaris.
