It was built in 1925 as the centerpiece of a new residential colony called Hipódromo Condesa.

The park is located on the grounds formerly occupied by the Santa Catalina del Arenal hacienda, which was later used by the Jockey Club sports association.

It was designed based on landscape architecture principles and is considered one of the most attractive parks in the city, surrounded by interesting Art Deco and Art Nouveau-style buildings.

It features several walking paths, fountains, ponds, sculptures, an interesting clock, and the Charles Lindbergh Open-Air Theater, which has five pillars and two pergolas.

It's an ideal place to read a book, ride a bike or rollerblades, or take dance classes.

This park, along with Parque España, is a typical recreational area in Condesa, and both are pet-friendly.

Across the park, there is a hotel with a restaurant and a pleasant terrace where you can enjoy the park.
