Its name means "Place of Eagles" and it has the Mission of Santos Cinco Señores, a Jesuit mission that dates from 1752 and is preserved in excellent condition. Next to the misión is the San Ignacio de Loyola Museum with an important collection of sacred art from northern Mexico.
Just 2 km from the community is the 30 m waterfall that is formed by the river of the same name. Which can be seen from a viewpoint, or you can go down to see the impressive curtain of water on a path that consists of 280 steps.
The water of the stream before becoming a waterfall runs through a bed of stone slabs in the middle of a wooded landscape. So the road to the waterfall will offer you unforgettable landscapes.
This is where the Copper Canyon is born, which reaches up to 1,300 m deep.
It is a beautiful place to camp and practice rappelling in some of its impressive rock formations.
In the waterfall area you can find magnificent Rarámuri handicrafts like wooden dolls and attractive bracelets.
