During the rainy season, water enters to cross a limestone hill and exits on the other side, eventually flowing into the Jalpan Dam.

Water falls from the cave ceiling in incredible cascades of over 30 meters, allowing you to enjoy the springs and bathe in amazing natural showers, although it's important to note that the water is very cold.

The walls of the ceiling are covered in moss and ferns, creating a contrast of green against the turquoise of the pool.

It is an ideal place for adventure tourism enthusiasts, as exploring and traversing it requires the appropriate equipment.

Activities:

  • Swimming
  • Observing flora and fauna
  • Hiking

Location

On the Jalpan-San Juan del Río road, at the height of the Puerto de Animas locality, there is a dirt road that leads to the Laguna de Pitzquintla locality. Once there, walk for fifteen minutes along a path to reach the entrance of the Puente de Dios cave. It is located approximately 39 km or 50 minutes from Jalpan de Serra.
