The first 18 holes, El Reto (the challenge), are by Nicklaus Signature, while the remaining 9, El Desafío (the defiance), are by Nickaus Design.
It is also known as the "First state of golf in the world", since it is possible to see several holes from different points at the same time because the field has significant height contrasts. In fact, the uneven terrain was what inspired Jack Nicklaus to make a true masterpiece.
