The golf course was designed from 1943 to 1951 by architect John Bredamus.
And from 1951 to 1955 by architect Larry Hughes, who continued with the design until its completion. The construction was carried out by George Hoffman from 1952 to 1955, the year when the first 18 holes were inaugurated.
From 1993, a remodeling of the 18 holes took place, under the direction of architect William Love. This remodeling included the reconstruction of six greens, tee boxes, and sand traps.
Starting in 1997, as part of architect William Love's master plan, an additional 9 holes were constructed, completing a total of 27 holes. Subsequently, 12 additional greens were reconstructed to match the new ones. In 2007, a new larger putting green was built to replace the previous one.
Its green areas cover approximately 80 hectares and consist of a wide variety of trees, shrubs, and other plant species, as well as a diverse native fauna from the region.
