GUANAJUATO

Cuenca de la Esperanza

Cuenca de la Esperanza is a protected natural area and the ideal place for you to enjoy a ride in the middle of the forest. Cycling around the forests near the city is quite an experience, you can ride among oak trees and penguin bushes, while you observe dozens of birds, such as the woodpecker.

Guanajuato City

In the city of Guanajuato there are routes of mining districts to visit by car or by bike. One route includes: La Valenciana, Mina de Guadalupe, Real de Santa Ana and Mineral de la Luz, and the other, Calderones, El Cubo and Pilgrim.

These routes bring us into contact with vestiges of Guanajuato's mineral wealth, the system of dams, and the amazing landscape of the mountains.

Additionally, every year the Urban Downhill arrives in Guanajuato where its winding streets are traveled in the month of November.

Sierra de Santa Rosa

Mountain Biking in Guanajuato

Xumu Park

This park is ideal for mountain biking lovers. Here you can practice three types of cycling:

Cross Country with long ups and downs. You need good physical condition to make this journey.

Down Hill in which you will have to ride your bike down the mountain as fast as possible, reaching up to 60 km/h. The park has a 3 km track with ramps, cambers and obstacles, just right for practicing this modality.

Mountain Biking, for this modality the park has previously drawn trails to be able to enjoy as a group or individually.

In the park there are bicycle rentals.

LEÓN

Tour the City of León by Bike

At the El Salto Vacation Center you can practice mountain biking. It has several routes that have different levels of difficulty. There is one with 4 km and another with 17.5 km in length.

SAN MIGUEL DE ALLENDE

The area where San Miguel Allende is located is ideal for this biking, there is a combination of mountains of more than 2,000 meters high with semitropical climates and desert plains.
