This is one of the five sacred places for the Wirikuta people, and it is the site where the pilgrimages of the communities of this ethnicity culminate. The other four places are San Blas in Nayarit, Cerro Gordo in Durango, and Santa Catarina and Chapal in Jalisco.

It is an elevation of 3,800 meters above sea level, and at the summit, there are three concentric circles made of stones where ancestral rituals take place.

You can hike or ride a horse to reach the top, and besides the powerful energy you can feel, you will have a beautiful panoramic view of enormous rocks that seem to have been intentionally placed that way, as well as the surrounding area.

Activities:

  • Observing flora and fauna
  • Horseback Riding
  • Hiking

Location
