Founded in 1680 by Jesuits who built the Mission of San Francisco Javier de Cerocahui, it is a must-visit during your trip through the canyons, especially on board the Chepe railroad.
Nearby is the Yepáravo waterfall and the viewpoint of Cerro del Gallego from where the Urique Ravine can be admired in all its magnificence, the deepest in the Sierra Tarahumara at 1,879 meters.
