It is a waterfall with a a height of around 453 meters, which makes it the highest waterfall in Mexico, although it can only be appreciated well during the rainy season. On the southern limit of the Cascada de Basaseachi National Park within the Barranca de Candameña.

Its name is due to a spherical rock formation that is located on the edge of the ravine. And precisely this rock has become the favorite viewpoint for all its visitors, especially for those who like strong emotions since this rock is not completely stable and you can swing a bit on the edge of the ravine.

In this waterfall is the Hayumar viewpoint, which can be reached in 25 minutes walking from Basaseachi. Here you can find local guides who will take you to see all the attractions of the area including "El Gigante", an impressive rock that can be reached on horseback. “El Gigante”, una impresionante peña a la que se llega a caballo.

If you want to see this waterfall in all its splendor, the best season to visit it is from June to September in the rainy season.

At the top you cannot see the magnitude of the waterfall, the best way to appreciate it is to go down a few meters with a cable. It is an ideal place to practice rappelling.

From the waterfall you have access to a spectacular panoramic view of the Candameña Canyon.

Nearby is the El Elefante viewpoint, which receives that name because the rocky wall resembles the profile of a pachyderm. This is one of the favorite places for climbers.

It is accessed from the town of Huajumar, from where a dirt road leads to a parking lot, from where two paths lead to two viewpoints. From there you still have to walk another 2 km to reach the spectacular waterfall, but the effort is totally worth it.

It is a place for rock climbing, mountain biking and camping.
