Cañón del Salto
In the middle of a desert landscape is the Cañón del Salto with rock walls of up to 30 m (98 ft). It is an ideal place for those who like strong emotions as it has natural slides and a 40 m (131 ft) rappel descent into the narrowest part of the canyon, where the Guayalejo River disappears.
There is also a cavern with rock formations that offers the opportunity for another 12 m (39 ft) descent. And for the most intrepid there is a jump into the pool or you can rappel down. Located 40 minutes from the Magic Town of Tula.
Cañón de la Servilleta
It is an extraordinary natural setting that marks the passage of the Boquillas or Comandante River through the Sierra de Cucharas. It is 2.5 km long, its walls reaching 120 m (394 ft) high in some places. Most of the year the river can be crossed on foot, avoiding the pools formed between the rocks. Located 3 km from the town of El Limón, near Ciudad Mante, an hour and a half from the Magical Town of Tula.
It is a place worth exploring as it has mounds with petrified mollusk and plant fossils, as well as some caves to the northeast of the canyon.
The more adventurous can cross the river in the cable car basket in the rainy season when there is a greater flow.
Cañón del Pinihuán
The canyon has an array of amazing waterfalls of different heights ranging from 4 to 12 m (13 to 39 ft), and along the way you have to swim, rappel and of course walk. The end of the experience is in the Lloviznosa waterfall, a place worth knowing. Located about 50 minutes from the city of Río Verde, in the municipality of Lagunillas, two and a half hours from Tula.
