Quebrada de Piaxtla
Puedes explorar la Quebrada de Piaxtla que esta considerada la Quebrada más bonita de la Sierra Madre en Durango, por sus pozas de aguas cristalinas, paredes escalonadas y sobre todo por sus bellas cascadas.
There are two beautiful waterfalls, one is 60-meter (200 feet) and the other is 120-meter (400 feet). At the end of the waterfall there is a steep ravine that leads to a pool from where the course of the river continues with other waterfalls.
Along the way you will find some crystalline water pools where you can swim and stepped walls.
The Quebrada de Pixtla is located nine hours from the city of Durango and some sections are complicated roads with difficult access, so it is important to be accompanied by a guide for this adventure.
Nearby you can visit the mining towns of Tayoltitla, Guarisamey and San Dimas.
Quebrada de Basís
Quebrada de Basís is located 100 kilometers from the junction with the Coyotes-San Miguel de las Cruces highway.
This magical place offers huge ocher glens to conquer.
Quebrada de Ventanas
You can travel into rugged paths in ATVs or 4 x 4 vehicles to get to Quebrada de Ventanas. When you arrive you will have to descend 2,200-meter (7,200 feet) to reach the Presidios river and enjoy this splendid landscape.

Espinazo del Diablo
This is a nice viewpoint located at Km 168 of Federal Highway 40.
Two of the cavities in these ravines offer impressive panoramic views, especially in the early hours of the morning before the mist covers part of the mountains.
Puente Baluarte
It is another natural landscapes to be explored with several waterfalls of different sizes. It is better to visit during the rainy season when the waterfalls like Salto del Agua Llovida and the Chorro del Caliche look impresive.

Cañón Azul (Blue Canyon)
One of the most impressive formations in Durango is the Cañón Azul located in the municipality of Nuevo Ideal in Ejido de Molino. In the summer, the rainfall creates beautiful blue lagoons where you can cool off after exploring the canyon.
