This is considered one of the most impressive landscapes in the entire state of Chihuahua nestled in the Sierra de Santa Elena crossed by the Rio Grande.
It is considered a Flora and Fauna Protection Area due to the richness of its biodiversity, in addition to including several endemic species, both of plantas and animals.
Its calcareous rock walls can reach up to 450 m high and it is 15 kilometers long. You can take the tour on a raft, or go hiking in some of its sections.
Along the walk you can see cacti, mesquites, grasslands and in some areas oak forest, while enjoy watching a great variety of birds, including the peregrine falcon and the golden eagle.
In this canyon there are several springs with sulphurous waters that produce drastic changes in the landscape.
Its access is not easy, since it is accessed by a dirt road and it takes more than two hours leaving the community of Manuel Benavides. It is important that you be accompanied by a guide, in this way you will enjoy the scenery along the way, stopping at some of the viewpoints that offer unforgettable landscapes.

Located an hour and a half from the town of Ojinaga and three hours from the city of Chihuahua.
