La Malintzin National Park
Its vegetation, based on pine, oak, grasslands, fir trees and oyameles, offers countless places for camping such as forests, valleys and ravines. Located 45 minutes from Huamantla.
TLAXCALA
Peña Pilares Ecotourism Center
With a nice camping area offers grills, areas for rappelling and zip lines. Located just 10 minutes from the city of Tlaxcala.
TLAXCO
In this town you can find a beautiful wooded and mountainous area. There is a place called "Al Final de la Senda" (At the End of the Path ) considered one of the best options for camping. Additionally, the valley has two small rustic lodges where it is possible to spend the night.
Other highly recommended places in Tlaxco are: Llanos de Teopan, located 24 km north of Apizaco and Acopinalco del Peñón, with incredible views from where you can see the mountainous landscapes.
Canto del Bosque Tourist Center
One of the most beautiful places for camping is Canto del Bosque Tourist Center located in the Firefly Sanctuary, a wonderful spectacle. During their reproduction period, from June to August, thousands fireflies arrive in the Nanacamilpa community to illuminate the nights. This wooded landscape is ideal for hiking and camping. Located an hour and a half from Tlaxco.
