The canyon has an area of 299 ha and is part of the Meztitlán Biosphere Reserve.

It has beautiful basaltic columns and in its lower part runs a river that is born from the springs of San Miguel Regla, called Regla river. Two beautiful springs and a 5 m high waterfall are form in the descent of the river.

It is an ideal place to practice canyoning, on its route you will have the opportunity to practice jumping, rappelling, mountaineering and swimming. In the canyon you can also visit a cave which is accessed through an old cellar. This adventure is only for the most intrepid, since the cave is home to hundreds of bats.

If you don't like adventure so much and prefer something more relaxed, it also has relaxation and yoga workshops.
