For those who like to explore the bowels of the earth, they can visit the caves of La Floreña.

These interesting caves are located on a mountain just 45 minutes from the town of La Floreña.

It is reached by a dirt road and then you will have to walk in the middle of a beautiful landscape where you can be in contact with nature and learn about the flora and fauna of the region.

The entrance to the cave is surrounded by rocks and to access it you have to go down some wooden stairs for approximately 20 m (66 ft).

The effort is rewarded by the magnificent view of beautiful rock formations that include stalactites and stalagmites.

Although the cave has not been much explored, there are more than 600 m (1,968 ft) that you can walk with an experienced guide.

On the tour you can also climb the mountain and visit Valle de la Floreña Viewpoint and enjoy a magnificent panoramic view that includes the La Floreña river and even the Manzanillo coast.
