The Latin American Tower is the city's first skyscraper.
The Latin American Tower is the city's first skyscraper.
It was built in 1956 and, at that time, the tallest building in all of Latin America.
It has a height of 138 meters and an antenna of 44 meters, making it a total height of 182 meters.
On the 36th floor, there is the Bicentennial Museum, which tells the history of Mexico City in the last 200 years, especially focusing on the revolutionary movement.
On the 37th floor, there is a cafeteria and a souvenir shop.
On the 38th floor, there is a Museum of the City and the Tower throughout the centuries. The museum presents a glimpse into the country's past, from the Moctezuma Zoo to the arrival of the Franciscans and other significant events of past centuries. It also tells the story of one of the tallest buildings for much of the 20th century.
Between the 39th and 40th floors, there are LED screens that function as a digital clock, one of the iconic elements of the building.
Finally, on the 41st floor, there is an attractive restaurant with unique fusion cuisine dishes.
On the 44th floor, there is a site museum and an observation deck that offers some of the best 360-degree panoramic views of the city.
