Isla Espíritu Santo (Holy Spirit Island)
Snorkelling in what Jacques Costeau described as “the aquarium of the world” is an adventure not to be missed. Among the top spots for snorkeling are: Los Islotes (the Islets) located to the north of Espiritu Santo Island, which are the habitat of a large number of tropical fish and other species such as barracudas.
On one of the islets there is a colony of sea lions with more than 300 specimens, so swimming with these playful marine animals is a unique experience. In addition, on your adventure you will also be able to see manta rays and dolphins.
There are several tours that include expert marine biologists who will tell you in more detail about all the species that inhabit the entire area.
Balandra Bay and San Rafaelito
Other options are Balandra Bay and San Rafaelito where you can enjoy the reefs and rich marine life.
San Rafaelito is characterized by its lighthouse that serves as a reference for all boats and by the islet that houses a colony of sea lions. So when snorkeling you will not only swim among colorful fish but also among playful sea lions.
