It is one of the most famous squares in the Roma neighborhood.
The plaza features a fountain and landscaped areas dating back to 1903.
Its first name was Parque Roma, then it was changed to Parque Orizaba until 1922 when it was modified to its current name.
There is a circular fountain crowned by a sculpture that is a replica of Michelangelo's David.
The square is surrounded by historic Art Nouveau-style buildings, as well as pleasant restaurants and commercial establishments.
The building known as Casa de las Brujas (House of Witches) stands out due to its roof resembling a witch's hat. This eclectic building dates back to 1908 and, although it was remodeled in the 1940s, it still retains many details of the original construction. In addition to its unique architecture, the place has a legend that says one of its tenants, the famous Pachita, performed healing rituals.
The square frequently hosts bazaars where you can find various design or food products, as well as exhibitions and cultural events.
