La Paz is popular for many water activities, but specially fishing, because its coasts are teeming with marine life. In addition, it has an important fishing fleet.

The waters around Isla Espiritu Santo, Isla Cerralvo and Punta Arenas are an exceptional sport fishing destinations. You can catch bonito, mojarra, grouper, tuna and shark throughout the year.

The best season for dorado is from May to August; for blue marlin from July to September; for striped marlin from February to October; for roosterfish from June to September; for sailfish from May to September; for sierra from January to September; and for mackerel from June to August.

Magdalena Bay is also an excellent option for fishing lovers. This tour takes approximately 5 hours and you will be able to catch marlin (up to 4 m long), wahoo, yellow and dorado tuna, among many others.
