Boat rides in Chetumal
There are tours to Isla de Tamacab and Dos Hermanos, two remote islets in the eastern part of the Bay that are home to a wide variety of exotic birds and some crocodiles. Here is a viewpoint 30-meter (100 feet) high from where you have an impressive panoramic view of the Bay of Chetumal.
You can take a tour from Calderitas that goes to Barra de San José where you can see families of manatees.
You can also explore the Hondo River, the natural border between Mexico and Belize that has been important throughout history. It was the place where pirates entered Bacalar and years later it was where the precious woods comming from the jungle were transported.

You can take a boat ride and a Pontoon boat tour to appreciate the crystal clear waters of the lagoon.
On the way you visit the Cenote de la Bruja or Cenote Negro and learn about the peculiar legend, the Cenote Esmeralda, the Cenote Cocalitos, the Isla de Pájaros and the Canal del Pirata.
Each of the boats available in the lagoon has a maximum capacity of 50 people.
