Considered one of the most beautiful parks in the center of the country, it has a total area of 66,310 ha and is located in the depression of the Balsas River basin. Its rugged topography offers striking mountain landscapes with abundant pine and oak forest vegetation, as well as surprising rock formations, rivers, ravines, cliffs and plateaus.
However, it is known for a magnificent 105 meters high waterfall where you can see various geoforms of unique beauty.
In this reserve there are 53 species of mammals including the jaguar, puma, ocelot and tigrillo, as well as 20 species of amphibians, 28 species of reptiles, including the impressive gila monster and 211 birds, among them is the beautiful green macaw.
In this place there are spaces for camping, palapas, cabins and several viewpoints.
