It is located near the border with the United States and the Amistad Dam, near Ciudad Acuña. 

It is a wide valley surrounded by small hills. Las Vacas Stream runs though the hills forming a spring that feeds a small system of lagoons surrounded by walnut, oak, willow and poplar trees. 

You can swim in the waters of the springs.
