COMALA
You can observe an endless number of beautiful birds in the Ejidal del Terrero Reserve. The representative bird of the reserve is the flag bird; however, you can also see hummingbirds, songbirds such as goldfinches or blackbirds, just to mention some of the 318 species that can be observed in the region.
The community of La Yerbabuena, which is part of the Nevado de Colima National Park, is an excellent option for birding, especially the gray-breasted wren, a bird that helps control insect populations in the pine forests of the region. The best time for the sighting of this bird is from February to July, the mating season.
On the slopes of the Nevado, in some of its impressive ravines, surrounded by a wooded landscape, you can safely see the peregrine falcon, considered the fastest bird in the world, reaching speeds of up to 250 km per hour.
TECOMÁN
In Estero El Chupadero you can tour through impressive mangroves and discover all the birds that live there such as jacas, garchas and pichichis, among others.
