BEACHES IN TAMAULIPAS

There are several beaches in Tamaulipas with turtle camps.

Among the most importat are: the Rancho Nuevo Beach Sanctuary and the beaches of Miramar, Tesoro, Barra del Toro, Tepehuajes and La Pesca.

Kemp's ridley turtles arrive at these beaches, which have the peculiarity of nesting in broad daylight, unlike other species, making their eggs especially vulnerable to predators and poachers.

April marks the beginning of the ancient marine reptile’s nesting season in Tamaulipas. Over 95% of the world’s Kemp’s ridley turtles nest on the beaches of this estate.
