The lagoon has an average depth of 60 to 80 m in the deepest parts. Its waters change colors according to the weather conditions at different times of the day.

On cloudy days the lagoon is green, during the first hours of the morning it is blue, under the midday sun silver and it turns ocher in the afternoon during the sunsets.

This beautiful body of water is surrounded by oak vegetation and what characterizes it are its legends, it is considered an enchanted lagoon.

There is an ecotourism center with cabins, restaurants, palapas and a jetty.
