La Ventana is one of the best places for windsurfing and kitesurfing.

The wind starts calm in the morning and rises to 20 and 30 knots by 2:00 p.m. about 80% of the season. The season is from November to April and it is recommended to wear a long wetsuit.

It is considered one of the 10 best places to practice kiteboarding according to "Kiteboard" magazine. La Ventana is located just 7 kilometers from highway 286 that comes from La Paz.

It can also be practiced in Los Barriles, which is located on the coast of the Sea of Cortez between Los Cabos and La Paz. And the best season to practice it is from October to March.
