This fountain features a sculpture created by Fernando Olaguíbel in 1942.

Initially, it was known as "La Cazadora" (The Huntress). A decency league protested against the nudity of the statue, and the city's governor ordered the placement of a metal loincloth that remained for 25 years. In December 1967, the Regent at the time ordered the statue to be unveiled and presented as the sculptor had intended.

The sculpture reflects the beauty of Diana the Huntress with her bow pointing towards eternity. Copies of it are displayed, in smaller size, in Acapulco and Ixtapan de la Sal.

Location

Intersección entre la Av. Reforma y Sevilla.
