It consists of 140 hectares that are made up of different types of mangroves and marshes that are part of a protected natural area. 

This wonderful estuary, considered urban because it is located within Puerto Vallarta, is the habitat of 99 species of birds, 10 mammals, 29 amphibians and reptiles, and 46 plants.
