It has a height of 2,411 meters above sea level and reaching the top is quite a challenge, but the prize is an impressive panoramic view of the Banderas Bay and the mountains that surround it. From its viewpoint you can have the clouds at your feet.

Part of the dirt road can be done on an ATV in the middle of small streams and a landscape of fruit trees, pines, ash and oaks. 

On the way there is a town called Real Alto with a picturesque temple built between the 17th and 18th centuries that houses an image of the Blessed Virgin of Rosario del Real Alta that is highly revered in the region.
