The Chapultepec Castle is a splendid neoclassical building.

It has witnessed countless historical events in the city.

Among these episodes, the attempted American invasion in 1847 stands out when it was the Military College. It was during this chapter of history that many cadets, known as the Boy Heroes, lost their lives.

Later, it served as a residence for Emperor Maximilian and his wife Carlota in 1866. Likewise, Porfirio Díaz lived in the Castle for a time.

Currently, it houses the National Museum of History. Visitors can admire some rooms with their opulent furniture and a splendid imperial carriage.

Murals by Orozco, Siqueiros, and O'Gorman decorate some walls. Another attraction of the Castle of Chapultepec is the incredible panoramic view of the city.

Don't miss the views from its terrace, where you can enjoy extraordinary panoramas of Chapultepec Park and a large part of the city.
