The waterfalls are fed by the waters of the Ñadó dam and both offer two different landscapes and both are magnificent.
La Concepción is a 25 meters high waterfal and it has formed by floodwaters that forced their way through basalt lava columns. This beauty can be seen from a viewpoint located on the other side of the fall, or from the edge.
If you know how to swim you can enjoy the pool and get closer to the fall so you can have a natural hydromassage.
The rocky landscape and the beautiful waterfall make it a perfect place to practice rappelling. They have more than 100 routes outlined and to learn more you can hire a guide in Aculco.
The Tixhiñú waterfall is a 15 m fall that is formed by the current of the Ñadó river and is located in a further passage surrounded by thick vegetation.
You can reach the top of the waterfall by a paved path, but to be able to see it from below, you have to go down a path in the middle of dense vegetation.
