DIVING CONDITIONS IN ROCKY POINT
Visibility reaches up to 10 m (33 ft) when there are good conditions.
It is advisable to see the tide calendar to know the best time to dive, since the tide rises and falls every 6 hours. The spring tides are not good for diving. Additionally, if there is a lot of air, visibility decreases drastically.
BEST BEACHES TO DIVE IN ROCKY POINT :
Tucson Beach (located 20 minutes from Rocky Point) which is close to La Cholla (located 18 minutes from Rocky Point), Playa de Oro (located 7 minutes from Rocky Point), Playa Mirador (located 7 minutes from Rocky Point ) and Las Conchas (located 15 minutes from Rocky Point).
Another excellent option is Isla San Jorge, rocky promontories a short distance from the coast of Rocky Point. The Island is home to an important colony of sea lions, and dive with the adorable sea lions is the funniest experience you can have in the ocean. The island is also a good place for snorkeling, or simply swimming in the company of sea lions.
