Dates back to the late 19th century.

It was originally built as the private residence of Archbishop Santiago Zubiria y Manzanera.

The building is made of quarry stone and features neogothic and neoclassical elements. The facade is adorned with large windows and intricate carved stone finishes. The entrance also showcases an extraordinary work of carved stone.

Inside, there is a spacious covered courtyard surrounded by arches. It also houses a beautiful neoclassical chapel with an ornate entrance and an altar carved in quarry stone resembling elaborate filigree.

In 1990, the building hosted Pope John Paul II.
