It is also known as "The Hill of the Face" due to its geological formation resembling a screaming face.
The hill rises about 400 meters above the valley and is a favorite spot for mountain enthusiasts, as it offers slopes with various difficulties to practice different climbing techniques and styles. The peak reaches an altitude of 2,900 meters above sea level.
Before reaching the summit, there are several spots that simulate natural viewpoints, offering unforgettable panoramic views.
The vegetation is mainly forested, with pine, ocote, and oak trees.
The hill has a legend associated with it, and its name comes from a warrior who was in love with Matlalcueyetl, also known as Malinche. To marry his beloved, he was given a mission that took a long time, and when he returned, his beloved had died of sadness. Kneeling in grief, he turned into stone at the feet of his beloved.
