It is the site where the Grijalva, Usumacinta, and San Pedro rivers meet. The San Pedro River flows into the Gulf of Mexico through the San Pedro or Boquerón Bar, while the other two rivers, united in a single crossing, drain into the Gulf of Mexico through the Frontera Bar. 

In this area, the mangrove vegetation constitutes a fascinating landscape, habitat for various animal and plant species. Here, you can take tours either by boat or canoe.
