It has an area of 8,400 hectares. It is one of the favorite places for mountain bikers, since there is the track called Los Adobes that offers a high technical degree of difficulty.

It has the highest mountainous elevation in the State, a challenge for those who like mountaineering, due to its crags and high mountains of columnar basalt.

The Alamitos Dam and the Alisos Waterfall are located in the mountains, where you can practice rappelling, climbing and hiking.
