Central Mexico
A strong and mighty river surrounded by large canyons and semi-tropical vegetation.
It has 17 rapids where you can observe the towering mountains and climbing plants that cover the walls, as well as a variety of exotic birds such as orioles, herons, and with some luck, even toucans.
However, there are other parts of the river where you can navigate with your family in calm waters that allow you to enjoy the beautiful scenery. There are half-hour tours, or if you want to enjoy a longer trip, there are hour and a half tours.
There is a unique wooden suspension bridge that crosses the river, where you can take some of the best panoramic photos of this historic town. Next to the bridge, there is the riverside boulevard where you can hire boats for a ride.
