It features beautiful landscapes composed of waterfalls, sulfurous water pools, caves, and an incredible jungle with lush vegetation.

There are trails for exploring, and it is possible to camp in a designated area.

Within the area, you will find the Cave of the blind sardines, a site for a pre-Hispanic ritual celebrated every Palm Sunday.

The Oxolotán River runs through it, and you can navigate it by boat. There are some local guides who offer tours and share interesting stories about the region.

Within the reserve, you will find the Museum of Former Governor Tomás Garrido, which houses a collection of artifacts found in nearby archaeological sites, as well as regional crafts.
