This region is located within the Sierra Madre Occidental and has an area of 70,000 ha where there are mountainous elevations, ravines and streams of incomparable beauty. 

In this Reserve there are different types of vegetation including conifers and oaks. As for the fauna that inhabits the reserve, we can mention the white-tailed deer, the puma, the coyote and the wild boar, among many others.
