It is a body of water that is 4 km long and has an internal diameter of 3.10 m.
It is formed by the waters of the Apulco River, and you can take a boat ride and enjoy delicious regional dishes, mainly consisting of trout and carp.
One of the natural phenomena that has made this dam famous is the unique 40-minute boat ride you can enjoy during the rainy season from May to September. During this ride, you can admire a large number of fireflies while navigating through the dam.
Remember that when visiting these sanctuaries, you must respect the rules: no excessive noise, no flash or lamps, and of course, no capturing or littering.
This is an incomparable natural spectacle where you can see how these little insects emerge from the shadows of the trees, accompanied by the songs of crickets and cicadas.
