It is the largest body of water in the state and is fed by the Zahuapán, Martinica, Popoyuca, El Fondón, El Potrero, and El Espejo rivers. 

You can enjoy carp fishing in this beautiful dam.

The Atlangatepec Aquaculture Center is located here, with 35 ponds where the carp breeds include barrigona carp, mirror carp, and herbivorous carp. 

It is a place for family recreation and enjoying nature.
