It has a surface of 4,669 ha and is at an altitude of 2,900 meters above sea level. The park is made up of seven lagoons: Zempoala, Tonathiua and Prieta, with water all year long, and Compila, Seca, Quila and Hueyapan with water in the rainy season. All the lagoons are surrounded by landscapes full of pine, oyamel and oak forests.
The park offers row boat rentals, 2 rugged mountain peaks for explorers, camping and picnic areas, trails for horseback riding, children's playground, community area, ecological trail, and visitor center.
The park offers unforgettable afternoons and magical mornings. The climate and landscape invite you to marvel at the lagoons.
Inside the park there is a small service module with bathrooms, eating area and horse rental. There is also a stone wall about 3,200 m high that is very attractive for those who like to practice rappelling.
