This national park consists of 65 km and offers amazing experiences for everyone who loves nature.
The island is an extinct volcanic cone and measures almost 2 km long by 800 m wide. It offers unique landscapes of mountains, cliffs and mangroves.
It is the habitat of a wide variety of resident and migratory bird species such as the Blue-footed Booby, Brown Booby, Rabijuncos, Swallows, Brown Pelican, Frigates and the Brown Gull. especies de aves residentes y migratorias como el Bobo de Patas Azules, Bobo Café, Rabijuncos, Golondrinas, Pelícano Café, Fragatas y la Gaviota Parda.
It houses a small station for ecological studies and on its shores it is not difficult to see whale sharks, matarayas, dolphins and in the winter season some whales.
There are tours that leave from this port and from Rincón de Guayabitos. You cannot visit the island if you are not accompanied by an authorized tour operator.
The island is surrounded by crystal clear blue to green waters from where you can admire the coral reefs, and is excellent for fishing.
Among the beauties of the island are the hills of the Lighthouse and the Rabijuncos, as well as the Playa del Ocaso that reflects the sunset on its impressive cliffs. The island does not have any type of services.
