It is a fishing village where you can enjoy an ecotourism adventure created by the locals, who have opened a series of canals through the mangroves to discover beautiful natural springs and enigmatic cenotes.

It features mangroves, natural springs, and a wide variety of birds. The fishermen of the area have carved channels through the mangroves using machetes, connecting cenotes and natural springs. To navigate these channels, flat-bottomed boats are propelled by a long pole, earning it the name "Tropical Venice." During the journey, you can enjoy the diverse species that inhabit the mangrove. So far, 137 animal species have been reported, including turtles, lizards, anteaters, raccoons, white-tailed deer, woodpeckers, white and belizan herons, among many others.

The main trail leads to the Dzonot-Tzik cenote, a freshwater natural spring with crystal-clear water where, as a result of Hurricane Isidoro, some sábalo fish got trapped and have grown over 60 cm in length over the years. You can swim peacefully alongside them. The main route leads to the Dzonot-Tzik cenote, a freshwater and crystalline spring where, due to the effects of Hurricane Isidore, some tarpons were trapped, and over the years, they have grown more than 60 cm, and you can swim with them safely.

In addition, the community has over three kilometers of beautiful beaches facing a calm sea, with shades ranging from green to blue. During sunset, the receding sea forms a large sandy stretch over 300 meters along the coastline and about 100 meters offshore. It is an ideal place for camping, although there are also eco-friendly huts built in the traditional Maya style located at the seaside.
