This lagoon represents both the persistence of nature to survive and the effort of the entire community.
It is located in the estuary of the Tonameca River, and after 1997, due to hurricanes Paulina and Rick, the landscape changed radically. It was previously surrounded by impressive trees over 35 meters high, and now the mangrove stands exposed.
When you explore the lagoon's channels, you will be amazed by the abundance of birds and crocodiles, as well as the magnificent landscape dominated by red and white mangroves.
Navigating the calm waters gives you the opportunity to relax and enjoy this beautiful natural space.
