The huge 15 kilometer long and 5.5 kilometer wide lagoon is home to a wide variety of fish. 

You can take boat rides to observe the impressive mangroves and the various species of birds that inhabit the lagoon. In fact, Tres Palos Lagoon is one of the best places to watch birds in Acapulco, especially herons, pelicans and storks.

You can also rent a jet ski and explore the channels along the lagoon. 

This huge lagoon was used as a setting for filming the first Tarzan movies, due to its intact nature.
